When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and chosen role (homeowner or solar professional). If you register as a solar professional, we may also collect your company name, service area, and business details.
Simulation Data
When you use our solar simulation calculator, we collect the data you input, including your location, electricity bill amount, roof dimensions, and energy usage patterns. Simulation results and configurations are stored to improve our service and, for Pro accounts, to allow you to save and reload configurations.
Lead Form Submissions
If you submit a lead form or request quotes from installers through our directory, we collect your name, email, phone number (if provided), address or zip code, and details about your solar project.
Analytics Data
We automatically collect certain information when you visit our site, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and other standard web analytics data.
Payment Data
If you purchase a listing plan or subscription, payment processing is handled by Authorize.net. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. We may retain transaction IDs, billing address, and payment status for our records.

- Simulation data: Anonymized simulation data may be retained indefinitely for aggregate analytics. Personally identifiable simulation data tied to your account is deleted with your account.
- Lead submissions: Retained for up to 24 months to facilitate installer follow-up, then anonymized or deleted.
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by applicable tax and accounting regulations.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics data is retained according to our GA4 retention settings (14 months).
